Can You Start Tomorrow?
Finding Jobs in Today's Tough Market
by John Madden
Price: $15.95
ISBN: 0-917990-85-4

Can You Start Tomorrow? is an authoritative account of how to find a job faster in tough economic times. The "other" job books talk mostly about traditional job search methods, such as reading the classifieds, resume writing, networking, using Web job boards, writing cover letters, etc. What good are the classifieds and fancy resumes if you can't get an INTERVIEW!

Can You Start Tomorrow? BREAKS ALL THE RULES.It is a practical exposé on how insiders correspond directly with the HIRING MANAGER to find hidden jobs and to locate upcoming jobs before those jobs are advertised to the public. You can pre-empt the competition, set interviews more quickly and receive job offers faster when you communicate directly with the decision maker – your future BOSS! See why human resources departments are the roadblocks to your success and learn how to easily avoid them. No resume can do that. Job seekers are no longer relegated to waiting and hoping to hear back from companies. Anxiety is reduced and confidence builds as job seekers create more activity in the job search by staying proactive.

These insiders don't use resumes, they don't send cover letters, they sometimes don't even know if a job exists before they make these calls. Because not everyone is comfortable picking up the phone, remedies are provided in the text. Written scripts, when to call, and follow-up methods are included to help the job seeker become practiced, motivated, inspired, and confident.

Written by an insider for the benefit of all job seekers from every walk in life. It provides a better way to job search than only sending resumes to human resources, using the Internet, or reading the classifieds.

"Can You Start Tomorrow? is spot-on for job seekers in the new millenium!"

–Michael Heaton, Minister of Culture, The Cleveland Plain Dealer

"I landed the ideal job in less than four weeks … Madden's no-nonsense, common sense approach made the difference! What a timesaver!"
